Runner up of the 2025 New Zealand Barista Championship - Auckland regional, Moi Yokota used this coffee in her routine, drawing parallels between its story and hers. This coffee was uprooted from its native Ethiopia & grown in Brazil. There, it found a new environment to develop its character - the synthesis of its original traits & new terroir.

Grown in Fazenda Santuario Sul, in the Carmo de Minas region of Brazil, this Yirgacheffe varietal (Ethiopian heirloom) displays the stone fruit notes and aromatics of its native Ethiopia, and the creamy, rich, chocolatey notes of its Brazilian terroir. Naturally-processed, it takes on tropical pineapple notes as a straight up espresso, which turns into flavours banana and golden kiwifruit with milk.
